I find book covers really satisfying; they let me work in more of a graphic design style, marrying the imagery with the text and information in the most eye catching way possible. I was shortlisted for the 2009 Penguin Design Award with my cover for The Secret History by Donna Tartt – I work as a full time graphic designer too so I definitely have the edge when it comes to book cover design.
