I’ve recently done some new work for the amazing Single Girl Dinner – one of those really great, simple ideas; what are we cooking when we’re cooking for one?

It’s not necessarily about what girls sans boyfriend cook – it might just be that odd night of the week you find yourself just cooking for one, with whatever you had left over. Or actually, because it’s just you, you can go crazy and make the best damn dinner ever because there’s no-one to tell you you’re probably burning the garlic.
The site’s not up completely yet but they have a tumblr. Look at all the photos. Just look! But the best part? Well, I was kindly asked to contribute some illustrations for the site launch, and here they are:
They’re based on examples of actual single girl dinners – my preference is always icecream with wine; usually with a tacky romcom and NIL BOYS. Amaze. Hope you like them!
On a related food-drawing-note, I’ve also launched a new blog! Separate to this one, it’s dedicated solely to my love of food and drawing said food. It’s called The Graphic Kitchen, it’s brand new, and hopefully will start to contain recipes, drawings and illustrations, as well as anything else food/graphic/illustration related! I’m still posting here of course, but I wanted to keep it separate so that I can split the two and not muddy this one up too much. Do take a look!
