I’m a little obsessed with bright, single coloured bags right now. Massively so. We all know colour blocking is huge right now (and from the looks of the catwalks, set to continue in some form into AW11 and well into SS12 too, from my keen trend-hunting skills) but it takes a certain amount of confidence to pull it off properly. I’ve been known in recent weeks to bust out the pink tights/pink heels/pink top combo, but some days, it’s definitely better to approach this trend with a nod rather than a high-five. Solid colour bags are the way to do this; matchy matchy with shoes and you’re on the way, clashy clashy with a skirt-type garment and you get double points.
I really want one but I haven’t yet found the perfect one; it has to be the right shade (preferably in the blue/purple scale; but knowing me I’ll just go pink AGAIN) not too neon, big enough to fit stuff in and an actual handbag, not a satchel. I’m still on the hunt… while I do this, I’ve made a retina-burning montage of the ones that are in the running so far:

Have you tried New Look? They have some fab oversized clutches in more of the vivid but a sort of Georgian colour palette (what a reference) x
