When I went to Fashion’s Night Out a few weeks (months? who knows) ago, aside from frolicking around with free booze and gaping at things I couldn’t afford, I was intrigued and pleasantly surprised at the effort the high street was going to to put on this experiential shopping night. I still haven’t done a Fashion’s Night Out post, I should do one soon, but this post isn’t that; this is a pure Coveting post, perhaps the most expensive thing I’ve coveted on this blog before. I tried these on at KG off Bond Street (free champers, oh yes) and I nearly cried. I then couldn’t find them anywhere online after until the lovely Bangs and a Bun tweeted them today. She also loves them. Maybe we’ll go halves and have one each?

I’m literally in love. This is, in all honesty, my perfect shoe. I love the colour (also comes in black and yellow, whatevs, this is hot) so much, it’s a perfect shade of that hard-to-describe greeny blue that people call ‘Aqua’ or ‘turquoise’ but really should just be called Sex. It has a disguised platform, it’s super high, and it has those divine, stud/grunge-esque diamontes that are, just, me. If I were a shoe, this is how I’d look. Bright crazy colour with dangerous looking bling. Mmmmm.

The Kurt Geiger Corso Como shoe. Oh, only £290. Fine. I could totally afford these, if I didn’t eat for… 2 months? Or rather, being more sensible (eating is great, you should try it), if I didn’t have a HUGE graduate overdraft and just paid my rent, bills, travel and basic food for a month I could have these. But… I don’t. I buy sweets and I drink and I buy clothes and I owe lovely HSBC nearly 2k. Oh woe is me.

Enough whining. These shoes are too pretty to sour with negativity; I shall hold them high as an example of what I aspire to. One day I shall earn more, one day I will go to parties that require footwear of this caliber, one day I will own these. Or… not, as they will sell out after this season and then GONE FOREVER.

If you’ve got £290 burning a hole in your pocket, you can get them here. Although I’d buy them from a shop if I were you; like I said, it really is about the experiential shopping these days. And then you can give them to me!

I also love the fact you get SOCKS with them, check out the blurb:

“Corso Como by Fashionistas is a low cut court with concealed platform finished with Swarovski crystal rock detailing. The multi faceted crystal shards were exclusively designed for this collection to give a glam punk edge! Sold with a perfectly matched pair of socks to ensure you tap into the hottest trend this season!”

I would’ve worn primark socks with them but no, you get actual KG socks. That’s surely worth the price alone?

Never mind…
