You might remember a while back I submitted an illustrated recipe for a competition by Central Station and NVA Harvest to create images for recipes submitted by members, for publication in the newspaper which was to accompany their ‘twEATS’ event; an online mass-cookery class delivered through twitter. The prize was not only having your recipe featured but to design the newspaper itself!
Well unfortunately I didn’t win, but I did however get picked to be featured in the final newspaper! It was distributed throughout the NVA Harvest event weekend, and it’s great to finally see one of my illustrations in print – this hasn’t happened before!
It was designed by the talented Hilary who is one half of Edible/Wearable – check out their blog. Good stuff. Her recipes were really graphic and instructional, and worked great in the newspaper format; muted colours and halftone dots:

I wasn’t able to attend the Harvest Festival itself as I was at Reading but it sounded like so much fun. Congrats to everyone who got featured in the newspaper!
